专利摘要:
The invention relates to the printing industry, namely the process of gluing the cover to the book block. and improves the reliability of the book block. The essence of the invention is that when bonding a cover with a book block, glue is applied to the areas of the extreme sheets of the block adjacent to the spine and to the parts of the sides of the cover corresponding to the non-glued areas of the extreme sheets of the book block. The block is then inserted into the cover and sealed. Glue on the sides can be applied either by spraying or by means of rollers. To speed up the gluing process, a line or strip of quick setting glue is applied to the spine of the block. 3 hp f-ly, 22 ill. a and sb

The invention relates to printing, in particular to a method of weaving a book, in which a cover with sides is laid around a book block and glued to parts of this block.
The purpose of the invention is to enhance the book block, as well as accelerate the process of gluing the cover to the back of the book block.
FIG. Figure 1 shows a flow chart for assembling a book with operations for inserting book blocks, glueing these blocks with glue, applying and naming covers for adhesives, and combining and pressing} in FIG. 2, applying adhesive strips and glue bath, a cut; FIG. 3 is the same, front view; Fig, 4 - putting glue on the sides, glue bath, cut, side view; in Fig. 5, the same, front view on Fig. 6 - application of glue to the cover with glue rollers, perspective view; FIG. 7 shows the application of glue to the cover with glue sprays, view in J spec. on FIG. 8, the top of the book block and cover, perspective view; in FIG. 9, pressing the sides of the cover; front view in FIG. 10 - pressing with rollers, side view in FIG. 11, surface pressing, front view; Fig, 12 - book block.

folded in the spine, the perspective view of FIG. 13 shows the operation of processing the spine with a cutter; FIG. 1A is a book block held in a clamp and milled, a perspective view; in fig. 15 — adhesive patching of the spine of the book block (according to FIG. 14) -5 in FIG. 16 - glueing a strip of a book block with glue; Fig. 17 shows a book block with a partially wrapped cover, shortly before gluing the sides onto the outer sheets, a perspective view; Fig, 18 is the same, with edging stripes, a perspective view; in fig 19 is; the same, with clamps and glue applied to the strips, a perspective view, in FIG. 20 - tr, after applying the adhesive to the strips with the help of wetting glue rollers, a perspective view; FIG. 21 is the same, with the wrapped cover shortly before pressing the fastened joints, a perspective view} in FIG. 22 is the same, connection by threads in the last pressing phase, a perspective view.
To fasten the outer sheets of the book block with the cover, the first and the last sheet in the partial area of the fastened surface in the vicinity of the spine and the glued sides, as required, the remaining front partial region of their surface are separately supplied with glue and thereafter the surfaces are joined. Bonded surfaces are divided into two zones, each of the glued zones being glued to a corresponding non-glued one. Elastic covers are used, as they can bend when joined, without being damaged. For the method, it does not matter what shape the spine is and what kind of joint is chosen for the block, and whether the block is held together with threads or glue and whether part of the spine cover is free or firmly attached to the spine of the book block. It also does not matter whether the gauze band is used, although it is expedient. It is also not necessary to use folded fly-leaf, but the outer sheets of the book block can be directly stuck on the cover, as, for example, takes place in
folded and glued cardboard blocks of children's books or simplified brochures that need to be supplied with a hard glued binding, and part of the gauze strip can be glued between the front separate sheet and the cover so that a better bending strength is achieved than with simple stitching. In addition, there is no need to incur the cost of producing folded fly-leaf. Thanks to the division of the fastened surfaces into different adhesive zones, it is possible to hold both parts to be fastened well and securely and bring them together well-adjusted.
The application of glue to both partial surfaces can take place in a different way, known for applying glue in other places, for example, using a mechanism with glue rollers (Fig 6) or glue spreading. dusting device (Fig.7),
moreover, one adhesive strip can also be applied using a mechanism with adhesive rollers (Fig. 4 and 5), and the other - using an adhesive spray device. During most of the assembly process, the book block is held in the clips (Figs. 2 and 3) of at least a partially automated machine, with a protrusion corresponding to a partial zone in the vicinity of the spine above the edge of the clip 1P. Then in this area of the protrusion, glue can be applied with the help of glue rollers.
Since glue is used for bonding, which needs a longer set time, glue can be used for faster processing with a slight surface expansion, which quickly cures, namely in such places that allow a good fixation of the cover to the book block. For example, adhesive dots or adhesive strips can be applied to the spine shortly before the cover is pressed firmly, i.e. before this glue hardens. In particular, hot melt glue or another very quick glue adhesive is suitable for this. The remaining glue zones can be equipped with a slowly curing adhesive and, due to the immediate fixation of the cover and book block, are quickly sorted further in the process of passing.
The cover can be brought to the book block, depending on the version of the machine, in a different way, for example, to put on top of the appropriate jCTBeHHo glue-free book block. For an especially quick and favorable assembly of the block, the invention provides that the spine and the cover can be flattened to a moving - in a horizontal plane, a vertically located book block (Fig. 8), the spine of which is at the bottom, while the spine and parts of the sides are pressed tightly shortly after application
quickly cured adhesive points or technological transitions. Bookmark glue strips. After this, the block (fig. 18-21) is fitted on the spine with pressing of the surface. The sides in the area close to the spine and protruding from the clamp

(Fig. 9 and 10) with the help of rollers, pressing discs or pressing knives, which collect on the outside. The book block then leaves the clamp and, in order to process the surface on all sides of the cover in the spine zone, is crimped in at least one press, preferably with a glued spine (Fig. 11). The pressing of the surface can be divided into pressing with rollers and pressing with flat plates.
Overlaying and pressing can occur in areas with the help of sliding directional organs, as well as sliding planks or sliding surfaces, but sometimes it makes sense to press with rollers or solid pressure elements.
The invention can be very simply implemented on traditional bookbinding machines (Fig. 1), the layout of which is chosen in such a way that the book block is held with a large free area in the spine area and that the corresponding roller or raspishitelnye devices for the application of glue, they are placed along the path of movement of the book blocks in suitable positions and with the corresponding clock control system.
FIG. 12-22 Bottom line shows some types of books and technological transitions to them.
The book block (Fig. 12), which consists of separate folded notebooks, must be connected with glue. The book block held in the clamp (Fig. 13) is cut along the spine using a milling cutter and then has the appearance shown in FIG. 14, and the spine of the block moves along the sizing roller (Fig. 15). If this technological transition is completed and gauze (not shown) is superimposed, a quick hardening glue is applied to the technological position of applying the adhesive strips (Fig. 16). After this, glue is applied to both partial surfaces (Fig. 17). Then follow the described

technological transitions. Book block (Fig. 18-21) is supplied on the spine
gauze stripe or edging strip, the protruding edge zones of which are located between the outer
sheets and sides. The application of adhesive coatings is shown in FIG. 19, and the application of adhesives with rollers to the block and protruding strip is shown in FIG. 20, where it is seen how the application of adhesives with rollers occurs along the marginal zone of the border strip.
The cover folded and missed by glue strips (Fig. 21) shortly before pressing also covers the areas of the root mark and, respectively, edging strip glued by glue and after final pressing is closed.
FIG. 22 shows the last phase of crimping the book block.
